Friday 6/6 – Nørrebro

Nørrebro Bloco and lake carnival

A unique street party anyone can join, led by a live samba orchestra with more than 150 musicians and dancers in front.

A "bloco" is a Brazilian carnival street party made famous in Rio de Jainero, where a street party crowd is led by a live samba group, and walks and dances along the streets of the city – sometimes for 2 hours, and sometimes for 2 days without sleep and non-stop partying. In our Nørrebro Bloco we are more than 150 musicians and dancers that leads our street party along the beautiful lakes in Nørrebro and into the sunset on Dronning Louise's Bridge where we continue the party.

It is carnival – and following the more than 2.500 year old tradition, it is the one day of the year where you can wear anything. Dress up, dress down, dress naked if you want, or wear the costume you always wanted. Anything goes. This is carnival!

Saturday 7/6 – Strøget

Copenhagen World Carnival Parade

The traditional carnival parade through strøget with more than 500 artists.

Every year, the Copenhagen Carnival Parade celebrates the music and dance of the world’s many fantastic folk cultures with a parade through the city center. Over 500 artists  participate in the more than 40 years old traditional parade that dates back to 1982 when the first parade took place in Copenhagen. Carnival parades are a more than 2.500 year-old tradition that is celebrated all over the world from China, to Latin America and Europe.

Saturday 7/6 – Rådhuspladsen

City Center Carnival

A Latin American carnival explosion with artists from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Scandinavia and more.

This year's City Center Carnival focus on the many traditional music and dance genres from Latin America such as samba, tango, salsa and much more. Genres so popular that, although they have their roots in one country, the music are performed and interpreted all over the world. The City Center Carnival focus on Scandinavian interpretations of Latin American folk music and dance but also bring in artists from Brazil, Argentina and Colombia and other Latin American nations for you to enjoy.

Sunday 8/6 – Vesterbro, Enghaveparken

Copenhagen Culture Carnival

A culture carnival in the park with shows from the world's fantastic folk cultures.

Copenhagen Culture Carnival takes place in the beautiful and historical park, Enghaveparken, on Vesterbro. It is relaxed and family-friendly, but still carnival, with artists from many different folk cultures, that performs on the historical Arne Jacobsen scene with traditional music and dance shows all day, and a unique Cuban zone in the park with salsa, open dance floor and cuban kitchen.
